Fazlı Ayan’s Paralympic Arm Wrestling Tournament Success
Fazli Ayan, Istanbul TDGers, came in fifth place in the 2021 Turkey Paralympic Arm Wrestling Tournament, held between 28-29 July.

“I have been interested in arm wrestling since my childhood. I got the athlete’s license after my friend introduced me to the sports coach in 2019. It starts at the table with the instruction of the referee. The one who puts his opponent’s wrist on the other side of the table wins the match. Arm wrestling is one of the sports that require a lot of power and technique. It is essential to train regularly. Last month, I came 5th place in 80 kg in the competition. My goal is to record the top 3 and win a medal.”
